The pizza its self was yummy. Very large! My biggest complaint was that it was super expensive! I ordered it a head of time and it took about a half hour. Very good! A friend had their gluten free pizza and said it was delicious.

First, I have been a lifelong Chicagoan & pizza enthusiast! After all we in Chicago have the best pizza in the world . While on business in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan I purchased several pizzas for our work crew who all locals. They all kept telling me that Papalis had the best deep dish pizza in Michigan, and that you could only eat two slices because they were so filling. I purchased four large deep dish pizzas for 8 hungry men for lunch (I was going to purchase 6 but listened to them and only purchased 4.) I hate to admit it, but my crew was correct! This pizza was delicious, perfectly cooked. The dough & sauce was delicious, the toppings (Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, pepperoni & ground beef) were perfect, and yes I could only eat two slices . I will be working in the area for the next few months and will definitely return to Papalis for pizza.

This place never lets me down.We always order before we get there so it is ready when we arrive.Sausage and pepperoni is the only way to go and the antipasto salad has thee best dressing.Service is always fast as well.

The Chicago style pizza and Greek salad was delicious! The service was exceptional and the environment was relaxing.
First time to this location. It is smaller inside than the others we have been. The regular salad (Antipasto) was enough for 4 people. It was fresh with many chopped pieces inside. A bit too much red onion, but cut large enough to ignore. But we came for the pizza! This is such a rare treat our hopes high. Not a disappointment!! We love this style deep dish. It is not greasy but smothered in a delicious pizza sauce. The cheese abounds, but know it is on the bottom! Medium pizza fed four of us with some leftover. Can't wait already to come back.
Maybe the hardest thing about moving back to Detroit from Chi was missing the pizza (and the Beefs). Sure, Buddys (and now the new Comos) is good, but Chi is the epicenter of high-end Pizza. This place is a godsend. It's 90%+ of a Giordanos (the clear style comparison). It ain't cheap but the money is going to quality. 5-stars for this region, 3.5 in Chi, but I rely on them like lifeblood. Can somebody open a Lou Malnati's clone please??
Came in Jan 30 at 3. We were ordering from the Pizza Papalis side but from the minute we walked in the door, even the Rio Wraps woman was pleasant and greeted us. The front end was very hospitable. Smiling, Kind and asked all the right questions to get our order right. I don't know why this place isn't busier .. because when I took the first bite of wings, my socks were blown off LOL! Michigan Bourbon Wings, Peach Pepper Wings. OH MY GAWD. This place has my wing business for life. Even the pizza was 20/10! Now if only they sold alcohol, this would be my sports bar of choice!! Highly recommend this joint. Come hungry!!
